Quasar was a famous french fanzine mostly known for it's excellent technical articles (programming and electronic). However, fanzine seems to be something of the past, now it's all about teh Intarweb! And here comes QuasarNet! Almost all the articles of Quasar are now available online in a wiki:

Remember it's a wiki, if you want to take part in QuasarNet (as typo-killer, proof-reader or editor), you can. And any feedback would be appreciated.

GrafX2 2.0 final release !

Hello sceners!

It has been a long time since the first release at Wired'96 (yes, that's almost 15 years ago).

But finally, here it is, GrafX2 2.0 final ! For those of you that don't know it yet, it's the best program for drawing pixelart graphics on any platform (well, you need a screen). The original version ran under dos, and in 2001 Robinson and X-Man stopped working on the project by lack of time and interest (no one was running dos anymore). The site was put offline, and the program was almost lost... but fortunately they decided to release the sourcecode. So in 2007 PulkoMandy took over it, and after many fixes and improvements, GrafX2 is now running on many platforms, thanks to the SDL library. All the missing features in beta 96.5% are now added : text, gradient rectangles, brush distorsion, picture effects. But we also did some more improvements and bugfixes in the process.

Hello World!

Ultrasyd just released a little music pack with four original STarKos tracks (STarKos is good for you! This is an official Arkos propaganda :).

Dear coders, we have musician on the Amstrad now! So stop stealing the Speccy and Atari ST! Just ask for some STarKos tunes (you're damn right, it's yet again another Arkos propaganda! :).

OFE is back, again, with a new production which won the demo compo at the Amstrad Expo 2009! Requires an Amstrad Plus with 128Kb to run.

Party Reminder!

The Amstrad Expo (Coutances / France) and CPC Klassentreffen 2009 (Erlangen / Germany) are held in a few days, from 29.-31. May.

STarKos 1.2 released!

That's it, the final CPC release of STarKos is out. All the know bugs are fixed and some new features/improvements were added too. Check it out: starkos.cpcscene.com.

Edit: The latest STarKos player source code is now available for download to all of you CrossDev freax!

Server offline (again...)

Once again, my ISP screwed up with the server's IP while I am roaming. The server is still up and running, but it's new IP is unknown.

The CPCScene IP Challenge: I will release a demo if anyone find the new IP before I'm back home (in... june! :).
